Running In The Rain And Some Rained On Flowers. Hello friends, happy Sunday. How was your weekend?
Over the last couple of weeks, I have been enjoying getting back into running again. It has been really hard work and I have been worn out but enjoying it at the same time too.
Running In The Rain And Some Rained On Flowers:
Today I am sharing some fun photos from one of our runs in the rain last week, starting with some beautiful flowers that have been rained on. Love raindrops on flowers. I just love a walk in the rain with flowers. Even better if I can turn the walk into a run.
Running In The Rain And Some Rained On Flowers:
So many beautiful flower photos to be taken here but I was in a rush as I do not like to stop once I'm running. Just in case I can not start running again!!
Hill reps were hard work but I managed to do 6 so all was good!! Well, I think it was. I could not move my legs, I could not run very fast and I could not breathe at the top so I think I did my best. But as they say, What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger! Hopefully anyway😁😍🤩.
Running In The Rain And Some Rained On Flowers: What I Wore:
On my morning run, we stopped for a few photos of this cool tree. (Does anyone else talk like a baby to their dog? Or is it just me?).
I said, "Who look Mollie a butterfly" in the squeakiest baby voice you could ever imagine when I was walking to the tree and turned around and there was a park worker just walking by that I didn't see.
He gave me a smile and nodded his head and gave me a sympathetic look. I felt so daft I wanted to disappear, lol. Oh well, it made me smile/cringe all day. Whoo, look Mollie a butterfly...

Firstly, I am more of a red dress kind of person rather than an orange one. So this dress I brought got stored away for a few months before I even wore it. Once I did decide to wear it, it became a firm favourite!! Love it now! I have just unpacked it again for Summer. Secondly, happy Sunday. School/Works out for summer!! Well the next six weeks for the kids and two weeks for me. Lots to smile about today 😁. Royal blue trainers, how jazzy!! ReplyDeleteThank you. I can not help stopping to take photos along the way :)
DeleteUgh I hate hills so well done! Gorgeous pics of the flowers and well done also for exercising in the rain. I finally went on a couple of walks this past week but used the rain as an excuse on a couple of days!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm not good at getting out in the rain or hills so it was nice to get it done :)
DeleteBeautiful flower photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeanne :)
DeleteThose are some amazing flowers! I run occasionally but am not a fan and hills are the worst!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by :)
DeleteGreat pics - I recognised lupins and the orange spikey flowers are called 'red hot pokers' Looked like a lovely park - and yes I definitely talk to all my animals!

ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Heather :)
Deleteloving all the colourful flowers <3
ReplyDeleteI have such a love-hate relationship with hills! I really hate that kind of workout but love how after a while it really helps improve my running. Well done!
Thanks Renee, yes me too. I try to keep away from them but when I run with my husband he always finds hills!!
DeleteAll those flowers look so beautiful! I haven't done hill repeats (on a grassy hill) in a long time. I'm looking forward to adding those back in to my training now that all of my 5K time trials are done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim. I am just getting back into hill reps at the minute :)
DeleteHa ha ha, oh what the heck, who cares. As long as you had fun! Lovely flowers btw.
ReplyDeleteHa, you can see my embarrassment in my photos near the tree :)
DeleteWow! You were doing hill reps??? Good for you. Beast mode (and I mean that in the best way possible)! I love running in the rain. Something about the air during a rainstorm. I draw the line, however, at running during a thunderstorm. Thanks for sharing the beautiful flower pics!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am slowly adding a few hills into my runs. I've a long way to go yet before I add them in regularly :)
DeleteLoving those flowers - especially in the dull light the colours are so vibrant. I'm not a runner but I do enjoy walking in the rain.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I miss taking lots of photos with lockdown but can't wait to start traveling again to get more photos :)
DeleteGorgeous flowers! We don't have anything like those in Florida. I love those tree trunk carvings too.
ReplyDeleteI speak to my dogs like babies, too. I wouldn't have been embarrassed in the least.
Great job!
Aww thanks. I need to be braver :)
DeleteThat tree with the butterfly carved into it is incredible!
ReplyDeleteMost of the time I don't talk to the dogs as if they were babies. There's a lot more "leave it, Lola" (I swear she thinks that's her name), and "stop pushing Lola, Bandit" going on, LOL!
Ha :) Thanks for stopping by Judy.
DeleteThose cone looking flowers 🌸 🌹 💐 (don't know what they are called) are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI like your hair all different ways. It's nice to change it up at times.

DeleteHi Claire,
ReplyDeleteNice to get to know you <3 I don't know where you live, but those Kniphofia plantings stole my heart. They are seldom seen in Finland, imported as cutflowers for florist use. Congratuletions on your running. Tough job, but afterwards you feel so good! Have a pleasant weekend.

ReplyDeleteThe flowers are gorgeous, but I hate to see all the carvings on the trees. I have a deep affection for trees and always feel sad when I see them damaged or dying or cut down.
