A Day Out In Derbyshire Has To Include Bakewell

A Day Out In Derbyshire Has To Include Bakewell. Hello friends, happy Wednesday. So how are you today? All good I hope.

A Day Out In Derbyshire Has To Include Bakewell

A Day Out In Derbyshire Has To Include Bakewell:

So today I am sharing some Wayback Wednesday photos from a day out in Bakewell. Whenever we visit Derbyshire we have to talk about or drive through Bakewell because it is our favourite place to visit in the Peak District.

My photos are not from too long ago. They are from April 2021. When it was coat weather but sunny!! It looked red hot and warm but don't let the sunshine fool you. It wasn't. I was layered up.

A Day Out In Derbyshire Has To Include Bakewell:

Where can I go for a day out in Derbyshire with lots of nice walks? Bakewell! You can take a walk around the town, along the river up the hills. Bakewell is a beautiful place to visit. Also makes a great day out. Last year, when we could not visit due to covid, I was dreaming of a day in Bakewell!

You can see all the pretty flowers in full bloom and read the full post here: Dreaming Of A Day In Bakewell And An Outfit Post. It's the Easter holidays, the kids are off school, and the sun is shining down. Dreaming Of A Day In Bakewell.

Aren't the flowers stunning? I also love the orange M&S dress I am wearing in these photos too.

Love Locks Bakewell

Love locks in Bakewell: I love the idea of locking your love up on a ridge in Bakewell but I have never done it myself. Have you? You can read a post I wrote a few years ago here: Love Locks In Bakewell: Love Locked In.

One side of the bridge in Bakewell where is nice and quiet! It is lovely here, away from the people and you can sit and watch the water go by. Such a lovely spot to sit and read a book.

Over on the other side of the bridge are plenty of things to see and do. You can take a walk around the Bakewell bowling club. Take your kids, if you have young children. Play tennis or table tennis if you have your own bats. Play football or run around the park or if you feel fit, start out a long walk up the hills!

Bakewell Fish & Chips

Bakewell Fish & Chips:

Then if you are hungry, treat yourself to fish and chips or one of the famous Bakewell tarts or pudding. You might also like the idea of making your own!! Why not try these: BerryWorld Red Gooseberry Bakewell Tarts Or how about these: How To Make Bakewell Meringues.

I just love the streets and houses here too. Somewhere in the country that I would love to live in.
